The Hallford family serves with Cadence International ministering to US military community. This summer they finished a 3-year assignment at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. They are currently on home assignment while preparing to open a new ministry at Shaw Air Force base in Sumter, SC.
Ben is a native of South Carolina, and retired from Army Infantry in 2018, after 20 years of service. Simi was born in Romania and moved to South Carolina in 1995 to attend Holmes Bible College. They have 3 children: Lidia, Teo, and Ruby. After Ben’s retirement from military, God has called them to fulltime ministry. Ben and Simi love the military and because of their military experiences, they understand the spiritual challenges and joys of military life.
The SHAW Air Force Hospitality House will provide: weekly Bible studies, fellowship meals, small groups, service opportunities, community outreach, recreational activities, and more. They aim to follow Jesus and helps others follow Jesus as well. “We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the Gospel of God but our lives as well.” 1 Thessalonians 2:8
Way to Pray: The Hallfords are preparing their home in Laurens County for sale this month (October) and hope to be ready to buy a home outside Shaw Air Force Base before the end of 2025. Pray for God to lead them to a home that is perfect for ministry. They have some specific housing needs: will need extra parking, a large kitchen and living room for Bible studies and fellowship meals. The ideal home should be within 20 minutes of Shaw Air Force Base. We know God is preparing a place for them, so they can continue their work with the military here in South Carolina.
