"I began a personal relationship with Jesus Christ when I was 30 years old. I had gone to church when I was younger but did not start a deep relationship with Jesus until I had gotten engaged to be married.  

I was diagnosed with Stage IV Uterine Cancer in October 2019. My world crashed when I heard the word "cancer." I was very sick the first few months of treatment. My immediate family lives out of state. I had no idea how I would care for my children, work, and run my home. During my healing process, Jesus revealed what Luke 5:17-20 looked like in my life. Jesus sent many of His children to care for my family and me while I could not walk. Fellow believers cared for my children, prayed for our family, walked next to my husband, cleaned my house, ran errands, and held me when I cried. I have never felt closer in my walk with Jesus. He has guided me step by step and never has left me.

Luke 5:17-20

On one of those days, as he was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there, who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with him to heal. And behold, some men were bringing on a bed a man who was paralyzed, and they were seeking to bring him in and lay him before Jesus, but finding no way to bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into the midst before Jesus. And when he saw their faith, he said, 'Friend, your sins are forgiven you.'
