"Jesus said in John 12:32 "And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” I know in this passage Jesus is referring to His crucifixion but, I have to say that is what is happening right now in my life when I think of the John series. I have known Jesus for a long time and have been through the Gospel of John before. The way Jesus is being presented in this study has caused me to see Him with fresh eyes. When I was a kid I loved to watch a show called Matlock. He was a defense lawyer. He would always present his evidence in a way that would always climax with a shocking undeniable truth that would reveal the innocence of his client and I loved that. Like Matlock, I love how in this sermon series Jesus has very shocking, provocative, stunning, and life-altering conversations that leave us with one of two decisions about him. Either, He is telling the truth about who He is or He is not who he claims to be. Charlie and Jim are doing a great job of presenting Jesus that way. Jesus is truly being lifted up every Sunday and I have to say that I have drawn closer to Him because of it." - Sam J.
