"I grew up in a Christian home and was saved at an early age. I was blessed with wonderful people surrounding me who consistently pointed me to Christ through the ups and downs of life. I was also blessed with many opportunities to grow in my faith and serve Christ, especially through sports, school, Christian camps, and serving kids with special needs. Even though I knew baptism was a step of obedience, many excuses kept me from making it a priority until now.
God has been continuing to teach me to fully surrender everything to Him, whether it be the stress of everyday life, the joys and blessings He gives us, or the public display of my salvation through baptism. God keeps teaching me that His grace is enough no matter the circumstances and that I can rest in Him. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” I am learning to be grateful for what I’ve been through, for my weaknesses that magnify His strength, and for where He is leading me in the days to come. I serve a faithful God, and I am thrilled to take this public step of faith through baptism." - Rebecca H.
