"I've always had a passion for working with friends with special needs, so I was eager to jump into Thrive as soon as I started attending church here a few years ago. We're all fearfully and wonderfully made, and all have our own unique gifts, and it's been neat to see God's plan unfold. I've learned a lot about myself while serving and no longer question the gifts and skills God has given me. It has been amazing to see how my past experiences, job training, and passions have been intentionally and intricately woven together to create my purpose in life. I'm grateful for the families for trusting me with these kids and allowing me to be a part of their lives. I'm continually learning more and more about God's blessings and intentional design of each person's life by experiencing the ways our joyful friends learn and grow. I am so encouraged by the way they are already exercising their faith by praying over our snack time in the most genuine ways, as well as reciting the memory verse through their beautiful forms of communicating. Their faith is so pure, childlike, and fearless, and I admire that. My friends are so accepting of me and my shortcomings, and I am honored to be a part of the family that is the Thrive Tribe." - Savannah S.
