"I was raised and active in the Methodist church until I succumbed to peer pressure and started drinking and using drugs in my late teens. This way of life lasted into my late 30’s. I believed in God, but I didn’t have a personal friendship with him. It wasn’t until I got in trouble with the law that I realized I had to change direction.
I got rid of the friends who were a bad influence on me, but I was a terribly lonely person with no good influences in my life. I finally reached a point where I got down on my knees and asked God to help me rebuild my life. The loneliness instantly went away. With God’s help, I found new friends and an awesome wife and family who cares about me. I also have a church family who cares about me and helps guide me every day. I'm thankful to God for leading my family and me here. Jesus has used the people of this church to help light my path and lead me home to him." - James B.
